The Conversation- BBC World Service Podcast
I’m thrilled to share some exciting news—I've had the incredible honor of participating in a BBC World Service podcast, The Conversation! This was such a meaningful experience, as I got to share my artistic journey and the stories behind my work with a wider audience.
Along with Polly Crosby, a British author living with cystic fibrosis, throughout the conversation, we delved into the inspiration behind our creative practice, our recent projects that focus on the invisible symptoms of chronic illness..
As someone who has experienced these challenges firsthand, it was deeply empowering to have the chance to discuss how art can give shape to intangible experiences like chronic pain.
I’m profoundly grateful to the host, Ella Al-Shamahi, whose thoughtful questions made the conversation so impactful, and to the producer, Emily Nayor, whose dedication brought it all together seamlessly. It’s not often you encounter a team so committed to fostering an empathetic, inclusive dialogue, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been part of this project.
This opportunity reminded me of the power of storytelling—through words and through art—to connect us on a human level. My hope is that this conversation will resonate with anyone navigating their own health journey or seeking to understand it from a new perspective.
The episode is available now on the BBC website, and I’d love for you to tune in and hear more about the stories and emotions that shape my work. Stay tuned for details!
Thank you to everyone who continues to support my journey—it means the world to me. ❤️
